Gaining the Fire Element(Training)(Complete)

Raiden walked through the village, she had a scroll on how to gain an affinity with fire jutsu. She still did not know what her natural affinity was and wanted to at least get started on this. All the girl knew that you could use jutsu outside of your affinity but it was harder, and more taxing on your chakra reserves, so it was better to gain affinities to the elements instead of trying to just learn the jutsu and not train to gain the affinity. She may be wrong in that train of thought, but it was better than just sitting around doing nothing for the day.

Entering the training ground, she stretched her back slightly while cracking her knuckles. She had some training to do! But first she needed to read the scroll once more. She had read the scroll before coming to the training ground, but she wanted to make sure she understood the material instead of just skimming the material like she had done with the Wind Release: Great Breakthrough in front of the "White Lightning", she was embarrassed by that event. The redhead, sat down and got the scroll out of her obi to start reading.

Reading through the material, the redhead slowly absorbed it while thinking about what it meant by burning your chakra and sending it out of your body. She got the part where you needed to burn a leaf using only chakra, but she wondered what it meant by burning your chakra as hot as you could make it. Shrugging, she put the scroll back into her obi and headed towards a tree. Jumping onto a branch, she wondered if she could find a way to climb a tree using only her feet. But that was impossible, right?

If only she knew, she didn't have a formal instructor since that bastard Inuzuka Ryuji abandoned her into the reserves, before heading on a A-ranked mission where he was killed. Serves him right, she grinned at the lost of the bastard's life. Even if it wasn't appropriate to be glad for a comrade's death, she was happy with that circumstance. Getting a leaf, the girl hopped down from the branch to start working on the exercise by putting the leaf between the index finger of both hands and the thumbs of both hands.

Breathing in deeply, the girl focused on her chakra. She tried to make her chakra as hot as she could while pushing the chakra into the leaf. Her forehead gained sweat while she focused. Pushing her chakra into the leaf, more and more she concentrated. Soon the leaf disintegrated completely. Frustrated, she gritted her teeth. That was not suppose to happen!

Getting another leaf, she calmed down and wondered what would happen if she were to attempt to burn her chakra before pushing it into the leaf instead of just pushing it into the leaf while focusing on burning it. With that mindset in mind, she focused on her chakra. She started to attempt to heat it up to the point where she was uncomfortably hot.

She continued to focus while standing there with her eyes closed. Minutes passed, as she felt her chakra start to heat up. It was slow going, but she felt that it was starting to get hotter and hotter. She grinned while she focused on the chakra, it was starting to get uncomfortable for her. Pushing it into the leaf, she felt the leaf start to burn between her thumbs and fingers.

Opening her eyes, she found that she had burned only a fifth of the leaf. Gritting her teeth, it wasn't close enough! The redhead felt like she wasn't getting stronger fast enough! It wasn't going like she wanted. The genin felt as though she would never get to become a Chuunin, if things like this kept happening.

What the tomboy did not know is that she was making remarkable progress with the training. Most people didn't make this amount of progress in an element outside of their own within minutes. The redhead breathed in and got another leaf and got started once more. She was getting a hang of the element of fire, soon she'd likely be able to start learning how to use actual Ninjutsu or simply flow fire chakra through her katana in order to increase the damage that it did to her opponents.

Breathing in, she concentrated on burning her chakra. It happened a lot quicker this time, and soon she started to sweat from the intense heat that she contained within her body. Due to it being her own chakra that was burning, she wasn't getting hurt. It was only exhausting her to continue doing this. The tomboy, focused on her chakra to burn hotter and hotter. It was soon becoming unbearable for her to maintain the within her own body.

Pushing the burning chakra out of her body via her fingers and into the leaf, she felt it burning a lot more than last time. Opening her eyes, she found that the leaf was halfway burned. The fiery redhead was making remarkable progress in a incredibly short amount of time! She felt the exhaustion of what she was doing hit her all at once and collapsed unconscious. It would be nearly twelve hours before she awoke. She had nearly exhausted all of her chakra in order to make it this far in her training!

A half day went by as the redhead slept. The teenager's eyes snapped open and she was near instantly on her feet. Looking around in confusion the tomboy wondered why she was on the ground and unconscious. Figuring that she must of used too much chakra and fallen unconscious, she went to get another leaf in order to continue her training. This time, she felt that she would complete the training and would be able to start on the next bit of training that the scroll had told her about, creating a small fireball from her mouth.

She wondered if that was a ninjutsu technique, and she started to train again. This time the tomboy told herself, this time she would be successful. She focused on burning her chakra, it happened near instantly this time! It felt as though she would get it this time, she focused on burning it as hot as the sun. She did not know how hot it was, she was focusing on only making her chakra as hot as it could go.

This time, she felt like she was enduring the flames of the very star that gave life to the world! She focused on her chakra while raising the temperature even more. Slowly she started to sweat this time, she grinned brightly. Pushing the chakra into the new leaf, she felt it burning intensely! When she opened her eyes, she saw nothing was left of the leaf and only ash remained. Grinning, she jumped into the air excitedly! It was time for her to get a mission, and maybe a shower...

Raising an arm, she sniffed her armpit and recoiled from the stench. Maybe the mission could wait until after she showered. She smelled like B.O combined with a fish that was out in the sun for several weeks. Heading to her apartment as fast as she could, she made sure to use the rooftops and not go near anyone else.
