Long time no see [Seina]

Shinji stepped out of his apartment, turning to lock his door. He was unsure what the day held, he then turned o the stairway. Being on the third floor was a bummer, he reached the second floor and stopped looking down to the ground. This was gonna be fun, he vaulted over the hand rail and to the ground below. His landing flawless as he looked around the housing district, what was he going to do today? He didn't have a team or a mission, so what would the world bring him? His mask sitting comfortably on his face, the flak jacket and all his attire sporting his signature look. The hair tied back as he quit looking around and looked to the sky, his thoughts wandered:

'Father... Not a day passes that I don't think of you or brother. I wish you could see the villages, see the change in the world. What you always wanted made a reality.'

It was probably noticeable that he was lost in thought, looking up to the sky.

Mai had just finished shopping for her parents and was heading to their house she had picked up a few herbs and other foods for them. She wouls stumble upon Shinji looking up at the sky almost as if he was day dreaming it was kinda cute she would giggle and blush a little. "Hey Shinji." she would yell to him hoping to catch his attention.

The thoughts continued till a familiar voice seemed to reach him, it was Mai, he hadn't seen her in a few days since their last mission. He would smile, though not literally visible anyone could tell he was happy. Waving to her as he walked towards her, she was carrying some groceries or so it appeared. He would offer to take them, while proceeding to take them from her hands. His calm and collectively simple voice would ring through "So Mai, how have you been?" He would say looking at her.

"I am doing fine." She would let him take her groceries. "Any new missions or jutsu you have been working on?" She was curious becasue she has a lot to tell him but thought it polite to let him speak first. Mainly becasue his voice was nice and soft to her ears and she loved it.

Shinji felt warmth as his face grew slightly red from embarrassment, he then spoke, the sound of his voice normal with the obvious embarrassed nature "Well truthfully I am still the same with nothing new...." He would pause with his hand scratching the back of his head, "What about you Mai? You learn new things?" Shinji adjusted the grip on the bag as he gazed at her. Her very presence intoxicating to be around, he was mesmerized by everything about her.

I have learned a few more jutsu and I am a nurse at the Hospital. I also found the Shikotsu Forest and made a pact with the Slugs that live there including their queen the great Katsuyu." She was really excited and over looked the fact that he has done nothing special in their time apart.

Shinji was looking at her as they walked, his eyes not being able to look away as he stared down to her. "Sorry, I shouldn't stare... I just... You are like an enchantress." His calm demeanor in his voice, he then turned looking ahead speaking "Do you remember asking why I wear a mask?" He figured it wouldn't hurt to tell her.

Mai was slightly annoyed with Shinji though. "So instead of talking about your mask at the minute why haven't you come to my house to see me. We come back from that mission which I hardly remember and you don't even come to talk to me!." Mai then had a very scary expression on her face her hands would glow blue with chakra it was almost as if she was about to use her chakra enhanced strength to punch him through the building they were next to but she would soon call it off and her fist returns back to normal. "Oh um i'm sorry i don't remember asking."

Shinji would jump back scratching the back of his head nervously this time, he spoke "Wait. Wait. Wait.... I, uhhhh... You look very good today..." He was trying to divert her because he had no answer, other than he didn't know she wanted to see him so soon. He was worried that she might think he was weird for trying to just show up at her home, he didn't know what to do. This was a bad situation, he had almost forgot about the mask topic till she spoke about it again. "My father gave me a mask as a child, I have worn one ever since. When he passed... I guess I kept the look to remember him." He was reminiscing his father's memory.

She would tear up Little hearing his story. It reminds her of the time she lost her twin little siblings on a mission. She would then collapse into a big ball and begin weeping she had almost forgoteen they existed until her reminded her about death. "I...I ...miss them." Her tears would hit the street and the dirt would become wet.

Shinji watched her collapse into tears, he would set the groceries down and knelt down to he placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." He was looking at her with sentiment and began to feel like a fool as he mind began to work. 'Shinji you idiot! I can't believe you made her cry! Stupid! Why did I have to say that!? Idiot!' He knew he had messed things up with her, but on the outside he remained calm, collected, and yet compassionate. He took his hand and wiped her tears speaking, "Mai... I'm sorry I caused you pain. Please don't cry. Is there anything I can do?" He hoped that whatever they had hadn't been crushed.

"Can you bring them back." She would look at him with the most serous expression she had puffy eyes and dried tears on her face. "Can you?" SHe was scared and sad a bad combonation for a ninja.

Shinji's eyes would grow sorrow filled, "I'm sorry. I can't. If I had that kind of power I would do it. Mai, I know it hurts. I'm here if you need anything." Shinji was heartbroken, he knew things wouldn't be the same after this. He would remain silent as he wondered what his brother or father might think if they saw this.

She would rush into his arms crying into his shoulder. "I lied when I said my clan were pacifist. They can take a life if its on the operating table or on the battlefield we are heartless like that. I cant take a life because I lost my twin siblings to some rogue ninja with a sword an a huge ax to grind. I can take another person Son/brother away from  them it seems so heartless.

Shinji would embrace her as she cried, what could he do but hold her in hopes of comfort helping her. She spoke the truth to him, he listened as the sad words came from her. "Mai..." He held her close, the words all he had but the tone. The tone was what sent the real message, he said it as though he wished he could change the world for her.

He would speak to her further, "Mai... I don't blame your views, if it is possible I will do what I can to keep you from having to kill." He began to think for a while, and spoke again "Say, Mai I am a trusted Jounin. What if I refer you as a candidate for the new Medical Corps? There you can give life, not take it." He hoped to shine some light on the conversation.

Still weeping. "You can...you would do that...for me." She was still crying letting it all out the last time she cried was 9 years ago and it was good for her maybe she can cry in another 9 years when the time arises.

Shinji would still have his arms around her as he leaned back and looked at her, she spoke with her crying voice though still cute. He would smirk and respond, "Well, yeah. I would use my name and position for you, is that surprising?" He wondered why it surprised her to put his reputation on the line for her, he knew she was good. He then began to speak with his natural voice, "Besides it would make me happy to know you were safe in the village, treating people and doing what you love...." His eyes would gaze at her, he wondered how she must feel.

"That would be amazing." Mai would then look up to see she just started crying in the middle of the street. "Oh my...I need to get these groceries back to my parents before they get mad." She was an engima one minute she was so sad she started balling the next she is in a hurry to get her croceries to her parents.

Shinji would grab the groceries and stand, speaking as he offered her his hand to get up. "Well, let's go." A smile on his face for her, then after a few minutes of assumed walking he would jokingly speak with a smile. "Isn't it a little soon to meet the parents?" He would be simply joking in order to raise her spirits as he watched her with amazement.

"How cute you think my parents are home. They are at the hospital but my mom knows when I enter the house Barrier specialist." She said in a cute little voice."So our little 'date' last time got me in trouble." She would smile and unlock the door.She would take the bags from his hands slip off her boots  and go the kitchen. "How else do you think I am this good. My dad is the son of our clan founder. So our Bloodline is the most potent in our clan." She was giving him a nice history lesson

Shinji chuckled as she spoke to him about them not being home, he continued to listen about the barrier and the history lesson. Out of respect he didn't enter the house but instead spoke, "So... Should I enter their home? I don't wish to disrespect them, and hey why the emphasis on the word date? You didn't like it?" He said still smiling and a little entertained at the idea.

"No do not come in. If my dad found out I had a guy over he would find you kill you and then use you as a cadaver in the morgue for intern testing. I told you...heartless." She would then peer around the door and plants a kiss on hi lips. "I was expecting you to do it but sometimes a girl has to make the first move.

Shinji would smile at her words, though she was serious he still found humor in the thought of dying over her. She then surprised him with a kiss, though his mask blocked it she would then speak about her having to make the first move. He smirk as he pulled down his mask and lightly pulled her to him, placing a sensual and deeply emotional kiss on her soft lips. Then once the lips parted he would whisper, "You may make the first, but I know how to round it up." He was smiling as his dark eyes looked deep into hers, he wanted nothing more than to be with her.

She would smile. "So wanna come in?" She asked forgetting what she had just said in what could only be a certain kind of seduction. "She smiled and kissed him again then soon broke his grasp grabbing him by the hands and pulled him into her house.

Shinji would smile at her, she asked him to come in only moments after telling him it would be his death. It was obviously seduction, Shinji fell for it too. When she pulled him in he let his self go in right after her, having only barely enough time to slide out of his ninja shoes. Close to her he continued to talk in a low tone, "Well I'm inside now where?" He would have his hands lightly grasping her biceps, his body hinting with its close proximity to hers.
