Lessons Learned (Myojin)

Myojin held back a chuckle as he kept the memory of her appearing seemingly grossed out at the shedding in mind It was yet another thing that he could use against her in the future if he could, and perhaps it would be quite useful, too, if not for her then for someone else that may not be expecting it as well, though he would most certainly not be doing that again for a while, as he is with her as well on the fact that it was seriously gross, though useful as a pick-me-up. He was waiting for a possible opening, a chance for him to strike as he waited just a little longer until one of them would make their move. Kids were beginning to enter the Academy, though Myojin believed they had enough time to finish the fight before he would miss anything truly important.

Suddenly Miyo herself had a different idea in mind, taking off towards Myojin, quickly reaching a distance of five feet away from him as he can barely process her left fist preparing to hit his right cheek. Being near the pond, Myojin would keep such a location in mind, as he still planned to use it later, though now he would stop moving, instead bringing his right arm up defensively, blocking the strike, which didn't feel hard strength-wise, though packed a punch from the momentum of how fast the female was moving, which in turn would most likely leave bruise as a result. Myojin would attempt to react quickly, however, using his left hand to attempt to grab her left arm by the forearm area as a means of keeping her from escaping while he raised his left leg, bringing it out towards her gut in the form of a sidekick.

Miyo had just now started to register that the Academy Students time to be outside was coming to an end. Which meant that this entertaining battle would be coming to an end soon as well. She had thoroughly enjoyed this little training session that she was having with Myojin. Mainly due to the drive he had in him, and the surprises he through at her constantly. It would be a lie if she said she didn't want this to continue for a little longer. No matter what happened in this spar, she was sure that she had made a great friend this day. Still, she had a little longer before the boy went inside and she was going to make it count, as she was sure Myojin would make it count as well.

Miyo's fist hadn't hit her desired target thanks to the boys quick movements. He was able to block the punch with his right arm. She knew he would probably develop a bruise on that area later on, but her fists honestly weren't that tough. What he did next surprised Miyo, and even made her a bit nervous. The academy student had grabbed her by her left forearm. This made Miyo a bit nervous, because this now meant that they were locked in close combat. This was where she had the most trouble in. When it came to performing ninjutsu, she was ace. However, when it came to going blow to blow with another ninja, she lacked severely. Realizing this wasn't her strong point, Miyo had decided to try and get out of the close quarters situation. When Myojin brought his left leg out towards her gut for a sidekick, Miyo used her speed to reach her free hand out to grab onto his left leg to halt his kick. If she managed to grip onto his leg, she would immediately bring her right foot up and thrust her foot into his gut in an attempt to knock him away from her. She wasn't sure if she had the strength to pull it off, but if she managed to knock him back it would put her back in the drivers seat. If she didn't, then they would look like a tangled mess.

Myojin still felt the bruising beginning to move into his arm that he blocked Miyo with. He enjoyed this fight as well, though he was slightly frustrated that he didn't have enough moves in order to quickly overtake his opponent. He would have to train more and face off against Miyo again someday, though he knew at this moment that he wanted this friend of his as his rival, someone he can test himself against as time moves on. He hated the fact that they both had to do close combat though, as he was forced to practice in it due to the lack of offensive Jutsu he has, though. His attempt to strike her with his left leg failed due to her free hand grabbing it, where he would take notice of her right foot attempting to be driven into his gut. This isn't good, as she had a speed advantage over him, and knew that he would be kicked, though now he was sure he can fulfill his plan now.

Quickly attempting to complete the necessary seals now that her hand had been freed, and thanks to the fact that they are nearby the pond, Myojin would try activating the Water Shuriken Technique. A single sound of three splashes could be heard as three shuriken made of water would come from behind Miyo, and Myojin himself could feel exhaustion as he felt her right foot dig into his body, sending him back two meters or so, where he would tumble to the ground, asleep and unconscious from the lack of Chakra he had. It wasn't truly the original plan he had, though he hoped that it would work out either way, as he could no longer defend himself.

Miyo could feel the battle start to come to an end. Whatever happened, she knew that these last few minutes would mark the conclusion of this sparring session. Mainly due to free time being up, but also due to a lack of chakra on the boys part. Despite the lack of chakra, he was still putting up one hell of a fight. Refusing to give in, Miyo watched as the boy released her hand and pulled off some very familiar hand signs. A smirk had formed across her face, a realization that the hope she put into this boy was for a reason. When her feet had dug into the boys gut, sending him back a few meters, she then felt the sharp pain of three shuriken pierce her back. After stumbling forward a bit from the impact, she could feel the shuriken dissipate into water and flow down her back along with some trickles of blood. It looked like he had truly gotten the hand of the technique, and managed to land a hit on her. Miyo couldn't hide the look of pride that overtook her. It was like she hadn't even felt the pain of the shuriken, as she was overtaken by a better feeling instead.

Miyo's attention turned towards the boy who was now lying on the ground seemingly unconscious. He had put up one heck of a fight, but in the end his chakra reserves weren't high enough to let him continue. Miyo grabbed a sandwich from her basket and ran over to his limp body, in order to check to see if he was okay. The young girl was no medic, so she wouldn't be any help in that area. She also wasn't sure how to transfer her chakra to replenish his yet either. The best she could do was offer a sandwich and hope he was alright. Miyo kneeled down next to the boy and gently started to shake him in an attempt to wake him up. "Myojin, are you okay? You did it! You are truly a fast learner, and it was an honor to train you. Miyo looked up when she heard someone clear their throat. It was a teacher at the academy standing in the doorway, waiting for Myojin to come inside. Oh no. "We definitely have to train again sometime. Or we can just hang out, but in the meantime I think that scary man wants you in his class." Miyo waved innocently to the shinobi standing in the doorway, hoping he wouldn't scold her for training too intensely with the boy before his next lesson began. It wasn't as if they got to do too much intense sparring in the Academy anyways. She should know, she was just there not too long ago.

Myojin could see a glimpse of it once again, the same white water snake that had spared him originally, glaring down at him, staring, the amber eyes it holds seemingly holding a sense of royal superiority to them as they seemingly stared through the boy while he could only stare back in awe. Every time he sees it, every night, he could feel a sense of longing, a wish to find it, to figure out why it had spared him, though just like that, the glimpse was gone, and Myojin would wake up, seeing Miyo knelt down beside him, shaking him. "I'm fine..." Myojin would say as he got up into a sitting position, his mind unable to comprehend her informing him that he did it, that he completed his objective. In a way, however, it wasn't as sweet a victory as he would have liked, as if he passed out on the battlefield, he wouldn't wake up soon enough to prevent the enemy from killing him. He knew he was just an Academy Student, but even Academy Students need to train their chakra from an early age so they wouldn't run out as fast as Myojin's did.

He would look at the Academy Instructor clearing his through, making the white-haired young male shake his head before looking at his new friend, offering a friendly smile. "Miyo, you're going to be my rival from here on out." He told her bluntly after she finished speaking about training again sometime and that the scary man wants him in his class. Standing up, Myojin would wave to her before walking off towards the Academy, picking up his blue and white kimono on the way and putting it on, where he would walk towards the entrance, past the teacher, and into the school.

It was a good feeling to see Myojin wake up from his momentary unconscious state. She could feel a bond begin to form between the two of them. Acquaintances came and went, and a lot of them could be called friends for a short time. However, when there was a strong bond between two people, their friendship could last the horrors of time. This was something that Miyo had hoped to build with Myojin. She wanted to be someone that he could count on to have his back, and she could do the same vice versa. Bonds like that were far and few between, but there was something about him that made her feel this way. Perhaps it was the fact that they both were outcasts, that they both experienced the harsh truth of love. Although, perhaps it was just that they had a really good spar.

Miyo stood when Myojin sat up and told her that he was fine. The boy had seen the instructor giving cues that he wanted him in the class room, so she was sure that there little session was over. What the student said next, caught Miyo a little off guard. He told her that she was going to be his rival from here on out. In the ninja world, being a rival wasn't a bad thing. In fact, it showed that the two shinobi had immense respect for each other. Miyo knew that she had respect for the young boy, but to think that he respected her back had brought joy to her heart. Maybe she wasn't a bad teacher after all. "Then you'll be my rival as well. So, you had better get stronger, because I'm going to." The last words she imparted on Myojin weren't said in a harsh manner, but more of an encouraging one. She knew the boy was strong already for his rank, so she knew that he would only get stronger as time passed. Miyo waved as Myojin walked back to the academy to resume his official training. Sooner than later, he would be a Genin and they would be on equal playing fields.

"The boy has potential. Hope you can match that."

Miyo just smiled at the comment of Isobu as she began to collect her things and walk away from the academy. He liked to act like he had no faith in her, but she knew the truth. She knew that he thought she had the potential to be great, and do great things. Now she knew that he approved of her choice in a rival, and that meant the world to her.
