Description: The Ryuu clan's natural affinity for fire also extends to enhancing the power of all their fire techniques. All fire techniques they use have twice the damage against all techniques as well as require no hand seals as long as the user's mastery is up to the standard of the technique in question. This power does come with making the clan members incapable of using any other nature types or conventional ninjutsu techniques (including techniques such as substitution).

Description: The Ryuu clan's special fighting style which enables them to leave their mark on anything they attack with their Dragon Claw techniques. The mark works as that every time a person strikes somewhere already marked by the technique, it causes any passed damaged inflicted to be added on to their attack. The technique is permanent unless healed by a medical technique of the same rank or higher. What level of techniques can be used by the user is dependent on their proficiency in this technique.

History: The leader of the clan is by tradition always a female selected at birth. She is branded with the "Dragon Tattoo" which indicates her leadership and is the only one fit to wield the "Sacred Naginata" which has been handed down generation to generation for over a hundred years.
At her eighteenth birthday the clan leader is killed due to the clan believing that if she was to live beyond that point then she would in fact turn into a dragon and destroy the will. This is only a myth, albeit the clan members are very superstitious and has been successful in killing every leader for decades, whether willingly or by force.
Despite their position as leader, the clan leader is in fact traditionally the weakest member of the clan given that the clans fighting style is in fact meant to counter their own kekkei genkai abilities as well as the clan leader's weapons. They believe firmly however that should a clan leader actually succeed in besting every member of the clan then they are strong enough to subdue their inner dragon, and in turn allowed to live.
The leader's naginata does have one special quality though, that being that it allows her to track anyone who has been marked by the dragon as long as she is in position of the weapon, whether by her or her clan members. As the leader, her job is either to kill or recruit those who have been marked.
