White Lightning and The Bloody Flash

Shinji was sitting on a branch in the training field, he was hoping for a sparring partner to come through the gates. He was known as "White Lightning" during the Warring States Era, but if he didn't keep his strength up with training he would be surpassed soon by the youngsters in the village. Leaning back against the tree he would pull out a small novel and begin reading, stopping to look around every 5 to 10 minutes looking for a potential training candidate. He would stop after being in the Training Fields for about 20 minutes to speak to his self, "I wonder, Will anyone show up today? Maybe I just chose a bad day to sit out here..." He began to feel like it was a drag being here, but figured waiting around wouldn't hurt much.

Cloud appeared at the training field with a sudden drop from the treelines. There was Shinji, someone he had just recently went on a mission with. The White Lightning of Konoha, a legend in his own right who was there by himself. His skills were shown throughout the mission but that was still not enough to satisfy. "Care to get a spar in?" Cloud asked as he pulled his large blade off his back and pointed it at the man in front of him.

"Unless your afraid that you can't hold a torch to my namesake?" Cloud said with a smirk along his face as he waited for White Lightning to move.

Shinji watched as the man seemed to challenge his name, something he earned with blood and sweat to the day. He would smirk, though unseen due to the mask the actions could still be made out. Shinji would stand in the tree, flipping down to the ground landing firmly on his feet he would speak in his calm and detached voice "A spar sounds nice..." He would draw the tanto from his back pointing it back at Cloud, the blades about 4 cm from touching one another. Continuing to speak "Holding a torch to your name? I may not, but however, I wouldn't mind finding out more about that technique I heard about in the Warring Era." Shinji didn't know much about it, the only thing about it was he knew if Cloud could place his hand on Shinji then the battle was basically over.

The Spar decided, Shinji decided to wait and allow Cloud to make the first move. He braced his legs and prepared to move at his maximum current speed.

The White Lightning mentioned that he did not feel that he would hold a torch but wanted to see the level of skill the Bloody Flash held. Well that was exactly what he planned to give him as he pushed forward, his large blade created sparks when it met the tanto that was part of the legend of the man in front of him. Cloud meant no disrespect when he made a remark towards his namesake. It was more to agitate him to fight harder against him. When the blades met, the blonde moved his body forward and went to bring his knee upward into Shinji's stomach.

If the attack hit or didn't, Cloud went to flip over the white haired man and unsheathed one of his special kunai. With force he went to throw the blade at him from above.

Shinji would smile as the earth seemed to crunch from the push off, the blades coming in contact sparks coming from the metal scrape. Shinji, moving at full speed, would use the enemies momentum forward and the contact of their blades to push allowing him to spin to the left side of Cloud, who if followed through with his initial plan would had hopefully been too pre-occupied to block or dodge the small cut that Shinji would place on the left upper portion of Clouds arm.

However, if Shinji should have failed to perform the small cut and instead had to dodge the opponents touch or attack, he would quickly use his footing to jump back putting a good 5 meters between him.

Either way should he succeed in both he would speak with his naturally calmed voice. "So are you ready to start?" a vivid yet hidden smirk upon his face, his silvery hair settling as the training would come to a small intense pause.

As the small slash came towards his arm, Cloud reached quickly to try and touch the wrist of the man who had attacked. However Shinji managed to move himself about five meters away and all that came from it was a small cut on the upper part of his arm. The White Lightning asked if he was ready to really start. "Don't know if you are though." One handseal created a single shadow clone that jumped quickly into the treeline. Cloud made that moment and rushed his opponent. The blonde threw three kunai to the top, right and left of the man in front of him.

Cloud stopped about three foot before Shinji to stay out of the tanto's reach as he swung the large sword he owned at the white haired man. How the man decided to dodge or block the attack would define how this battle would go and how long it would last.

The attempt to lay a hand on Shinji was thwarted as he put 5 meters between them, he then smirked at the mans response to his joking little gesture. A shadow clone vanished into the treeline, but Shinji knew he was fighting at least 1 more than the original. Not a moment passed and Shinji signed quickly as possible ending with the tiger seal, he then inhaled as three kunai began to fly towards him along with the flash. Spewing the gun powder 13 meters from his self creating a massive circle of the powdered dust, stopping 3 meters before Shinji then in a massive explosion the kunai would be blown back in random directions in the opposite direction of Shinji. Had Cloud not quickly changed his direction he would be caught in the jutsu, moments after the jutsu exploded Shinji would jump back 5 meters with his tanto in his right hand prepared for a new attack to come.

( Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning - 30 Chakra )

The jutsu was well familiar with Cloud as he darted himself to the left, the explosion blew his kunai into different directions but that was not altogether a bad thing. Cloud caught the one that had got knocked towards his direction, as he ran completely around the explosion. The blonde ANBU spun himself upward into the air and came down with a large slash from his blade, he just softly dropped the kunai from the air downward towards the ground. A special kunai was thrown and landed behind Shinji as a blood red flash came from the kunai the original dropped.

The shadow clone had appeared where the original kunai was dropped so two Cloud's were in front of Shinji. His clone had a chidori in hand on the ground and shot outward to just shock Shinji into a paralysis state if connected. However if the white hair man moved away from the shock the original Cloud would flash behind him continuing the attack from above at a different angle and would stop short of the man's neck.

Shinji had distanced his self 8 meters from the edge of the explosion, watching cloud come around his left side. The tanto in hand he would watch as his opponent leaped into the air, the kunai noticeably falling with a shadow clone flashing into view. The lightning covered hand was a jutsu that Shinji knew well, the sound just before of a kunai behind him. Realizing their wasn't much of a choice he done it, revealing why they call him "White Lightning" as his body was instantly wrapped in white lightning release armor. His hair was spikier than before and his speed was increased, using this he decided not to run but instead use the armor to negate the paralysis and tanto to slice through the clone at full speed charging forward. He figured a straight shot beneath the flying cloud and a quick slice through the clone cloud, his speed now a statistic of 9 as he would attempt to slice completely through the clone. After reaching 8 meters from them in the burnt grass, he would spin around smiling engulfed in his jutsu.

If the man found a way to disable the attack Shinji, would use the opening created by his opponent and escape to the right as not to cross the enemy ahead and the one who would be able to appear behind. Again distancing his self by 8 meters, and turning.

Suddenly the man exploded with lightning chakra throughout his entire body and knocked Cloud backwards with the pure rush of chakra and strength he received. So this was where the nickname came from, the white spikey hair was a dead giveaway for why enemies deemed him the White Lightning of Konoha. In an quick sprint, the clone was completely cut into two and dispersed into white smoke amongst the attack. Cloud just stared carefully at the white lightning engulfed man who smirked at the Bloody Flash. "I enjoy the use of the jutsu. Seems like I have my work cut out for me don't I Shinji?"

There was a small pause as Cloud began to count the minutes down. If he knew this jutsu like he thought he did, Cloud would have to outlast him or began to harm him incredibly to wipe the jutsu off the menu with some of his own special jutsu. The blonde captain readied some handseals and awaited for the man in front of him to make his moves.

Shinji kept his smirk at the comment of his opponent. Following he would use his enhanced speed to instead of charging his opponent, but instead collected the Kunai from the explosion. If learning from the previous move that they were areas of teleportation for Cloud, he would prepare his self should Cloud try to use the kunai to surprise Shinji he would use the close proximity to place the tanto to Cloud's throat. If no interruption he would grab a Kunai and flick it into an oak tree, following to each until they were all no longer scattered but in the same tree. This would make clouds escape difficult as Shinji would know where he would appear.

"Just two more flashes and another chidori and I'll have to break for a while from them both." Cloud said as he thought quick to himself while Shinji began to make his way around the field, each kunai began to make their way into the old tree. Right away, Cloud came up with a plan to end the white lightning technique. As he went to start a hand seal process but before his hands could touch he disappeared. In a flawless instant, he had appeared to a spot where his shadow clone from earlier placed a seal in the trees. Another clone was created and flashed in the same second so it looked like it was just one fluent transport to directly in front of Shinji with the kunai he had in his hand

As Shinji made his attack on that clone and put the tanto to his neck, Cloud with a chidori that was already basically against Shinji's neck in the hopes that the white armor had a weakness it would be wear any armor's is. In the neck. Cloud held nothing back with the strike to try to completely destroy the armor and maybe even put some damage in.

Shinji watch as Cloud seemingly disappeared, he would then moments later be interrupted by the shinobi appearing in front of him. Using his knowledge as a ninja, if he planned a straight attack he wouldn't have vanished. Disappearing is an act used to hide things meaning this was a trap, so he quickly used his speed to put a 5 meter gap between them. In the midst of moving away he would take the Kunai he had using the 2 meter gap that would be present in the process of distancing his self, and throw the kunai with all his speed and strength directly between both collar bones on the lower portion of the throat. Shinji was ready to fight now having all the kunai stabbed into one area, though one would have dropped to the ground in front of him by 5 meters after destroying the clone if things went correctly. Even if the clone went to the kunai in the tree he would be in the direct line of the kunai he had just thrown, as the tree was directly in front of Shinji. Shinji began to keep his mind on the surrounding environment, he knew there was going to be more. Though if things failed and the clone was still present he would keep his eyes on him, but allow his other senses to keep tabs on the training grounds around him.

As Shinji jumped backwards away from the clone, Cloud had changed directional plans and his shadow clone made a single seal. The kunai that the White Lightning had just thrown exploded a mere meter away from him. "I've made sure all my special kunai contain explosive seals directly underneath my own seal. A fail safe incase of someone deciding to use my own technique against me." The clone said with a smirk on his face as the real Cloud lurked in the shadows of the forest behind Shinji.

Now he would wait, his chakra was at about 100 for he did not use the Chidori like he had originally planned but he would wait for Shinji to make his next couple of moves. His chakra would be fading fast with the Chakra Mode being activated. The clone ran towards the Jounin with his blade, he was just a little faster than Shinji in his chakra mode activated so he closed the distance fast and began to swing his blade and create a sword fight.
