History: The Nichiren were, originally, not a ninja clan. Rather, a clan of glass makers within the Land of Wind. Having discovered their Kekkei Genkai generations prior, the clan were natural experts when it come to glass making. Using their chakra, they would make the most durable and long lasting vases and sculptures. Some were painted and such, some were carved by hand to gain extra detail. All were sold for a high price. The clan was so revered, in-fact, they did not participate in the Clan Wars, remaining as merchants who sold their goods. However, upon them joining Sunagakure, some went on to become ninja and began using Glass Release as a mode of attack. Seeing how deadly it could be, more and more of the clan became ninja. Today, much of the Nichiren remain as glass makers, but a fair sum of them are also ninja of the proud Village Hidden in the Sand.
