History: The Hoshiguma were one of the founding clans of the Village Hidden in the Sand. Even before the foundation of the village, the clan was reveled for its frightening kekkai genkai and fearless members. Members were often hired by nomadic merchants as bodyguards due to their reputation. One famous member was a woman by the name of Hoshiguma no Kayoko. She was a very tall woman, bigger than most men, and was insanely brave (or stupid depending how you look at it). Tales of her feats include defeating the entirety of a small village, making a lion run off by merely staring at it, and even evaporated an entire tsunami off the coast of the Land of Wind using her Scorch Release. Though nowadays many believe it to be a simple story (even amongst the clan), the legacy still lives on, showing just how powerful the Hoshiguma are.
