He has red hair, sharp, pointed teeth, and is often bare-footed, though he sometimes wear brown sandals. Depending on what is the occasion, he either wears a black belt at his waist or a length of rope. Over his hands he either wears brown training gauntlets or wraps his hands with rope as well again, depending on the occasion. He has tanned skin and crimson eyes, and wears his deceased master prayer beads around his neck, with a visible black "heaven" (天, ten) kanji on the center bead. In

The Person

Background: Kagura was once a kind hearted and soft person on the inside. From youth, he trained as a monk before he ever dreamed of becoming a shinobi. His body was always hard and fit so by the time, he entered the ninja academy, he was already versed in taijutsu. Based off of this training, and the determination he was already accustomed to, ninjutsu came easier than usual. During the time of war, weapons were needed and Amegakure needed a weapon. And so Kagura volunteered to be the Jinchuuriki of the Nine Tails itself.

With that, Kagura started to change. His entire countenance changed drastically. His hair turned from brown to red and so did his eyes. Even his teeth grew permanently longer giving him a devilish look to him. He started to become more cruel and more difficult to be around. Now, only his duties as a shinobi and his sheer will power is what keeps the beast at bay. That wretched Kyuubi. The first to notice was his lover, Sian. They were one day to be married. But of course, the darkness and vengeful spirit of the Kyuubi stirred inside him whenever he was near Sian. She would see him slowly slip further and further away from her into a pit where she could not follow. With a broken heart, she was forced to pull away from Kagura and this made him even worse because now, there was no inhibitions for the monster only with the exception of his own will power. The Kyuubi was manipulative as well; regularly speaking to Kagura mostly when he was asleep when his mind was at its weakest and would sometimes try to persuade Kagura to hand over his body to the Bijuu fully. Thankfully, he did not reach that far because Kagura, thanks to the Bijuu and unknowingly to it even, he wanted power. The Nine tailed Demon Fox, the King of Bijuu had succeeded in corrupting Kagura's mind and heart and bending him to his will.

As time progressed, Sian only heard of Kagura's exploits how he had slain fighters who challenged him and most of their warriors; except one. The sealing master, Kagura's former mentor Ugatta. To Sian, it was the only hope she had of rescuing her love. And it was this love that gave her the determination to go forth and actually lead Ugatta to where Kagura was. Far on a remote island sat Kagura upon a throne that was made by the power of his own hand and that of the Nine Tails itself. Upon seeing Sian, breifly, the real Kagura, the one she loved surfaced and he did his best to keep the Bijuu at bay inside him. But upon seeing Ugatta, Kagura felt a wave of anger rush through him. Feeling that Sian had willfully brought Ugatta here to kill him, in and instant in one fell swoop of Kagura's heel on Sian's skull was all it needed for him to kill her as her skull caved in. The battle with Ugatta and Kagura lasted for hours but eventually Kagura got the upper hand and killed him too. He could not believe that this...this monster made him take the lives of people he holds dear. In the end of it all, the ones who ruled Ame gave a self defence verdict at his trial. After all that is said and done, in the end he remains on his island within his chambers and answers only to the call of Amegakure no sato. Bitter and full of vengeance for the monster within him.

Personality: Most of the time, Kagura abides by the code of the warrior. He fights to improve his skills and defeat powerful foes - though on rare occasion, he does so to gauge the other's abilities. Although he killed his teacher and believed he did the same with his brother Kadama, Kagura did so in combat, and thus can be said to have not transgressed on his principles.

In combat, Kagura almost never resorts to his true strength, especially if testing another fighter; he only fights warriors that he deems worthy, or the ones he believes have the potential to become such.

Although Kagura usually prefers an even bout, it is not uncommon for him to deliver a lethal sneak attack to an unprepared opponent While the evil nature of the Nine Tails itself may have corrupted Kagura's ways, it is worth noting that Kagura considers persons who have the power to do so who sit and do nothing as pathetic and weak.
